The Sanctuary – Madonna della Corona trip – Tour Description
The morning starts with a 30-minute drive with minivan in a small group tour of 6 persons to reach the Spiazzi country, top of the hill.
As part of the relaxing experience, you have the opportunity to purchase a coffee just before start the small walk to the sanctuary. Start the walk down the normal street in the direction of the Madonna della Corona Sanctuary. It is also possible to reach the sanctuary by stairs but only if you are fit due to the amount of the stairs. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the sanctuary by road and there are toilets, a bar and a souvenir shop available on arrival.
The landscapes and the impressive view downwards are something indescribable. You feel so small in front of the huge surrounding mountains!
Spend time here in complete serenity at your leisure, visit the church, the green garden of the priest, take some pictures of the landscape. But please always do so in silence, out of respect.
Return to the top of the mountain by public transport between the rocks and the thin mountain path. At approximately 12:00 PM you will be back at the car parking. Before drive back at the starting point, we will have together a slice of typical cake accompanied by a good Italian coffee! Arrive back at your accommodation between 1:00 PM and 1:30 PM.
